I graded in Physics and got a Master's degree in Atomic Physics from Brazilian federal universities, Bahia and Pernambuco, respectively. Then, I got a Master's in Interdisciplinary Computer Science from Mills College, USA, and a doctorate in Engineering at Escola Politécnica, USP, based on Modeling and Design of Automated Systems. To open my background in Systems Design, I went through two postdocs: one in Systems Design and the other in Computer Science, both at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Today, I am an associate professor at Escola Politécnica, USP, linked to the Mechatronics Engineering Department. I dedicate my work to new design processes applied to service automation, formalizing the models with Artificial Intelligence and Petri Nets. |
